The virtual society is very different from our real society. With the virtual society you can fly all over the world without actually leaving your home. You can also talk to people from all over the world without even knowing who they are...it's almost like a visual chat room. You also have the ability to take a tour of the world all within a few hours providing that these places are available in Second Life although you don't get the same effect that you would if you were actually there.
